If you’re an avid foodie like I am, it can be hard to choose between restaurants when you visit San Diego. Luckily, during Restaurant Week, you don’t have to!

San Diego Restaurant Week 2024 runs from March 3rd to to the 20th. During this 8-day celebration of the city’s culinary scene held by the California Restaurant Association, restaurants from all over San Diego will serve their own special multi-course lunch and dinner menu.

Over a hundred different restaurants are set to participate in 2024’s Restaurant Week.

These include beloved local favorites like Oceana Coastal Kitchen and Balsamico Italian Kitchen alongside newly-opened eateries, so try somewhere new or swing by your usual haunt to sample their event menu.

Options off these diverse menus include upscale dining like steak and sushi, vegetarian meals, and of course, fresh-caught seafood. Alongside American and Californian staples, you’ll find restaurants serving up cuisine from cultures all around the world, including Mexican, Greek, French, Italian, Asian, and Mediterranean dishes.

Choosing your Favorite Neighborhood for the San Diego Restaurant Week

Participating restaurants are located in 24 different San Diego neighborhoods, from all the way up in Oceanside to as far south as Imperial Beach.

Many of these neighborhoods are known for their unique culinary influences, like the traditional Italian fare of Little Italy and the seafood served in beachside towns like La Jolla and Del Mar.

Neighborhoods like Old Town are known for their authentic Mexican restaurants, while the Gaslamp Quarter’s Brothels, Bites and Booze Tour combines sightseeing with some of the best restaurants around.

The Gaslamp Quarter is also home to boutique hotels like the Pendry San Diego, which is an excellent option if you’re looking to stay near the festivities.

Restaurant Week is an open event, and you do not have to buy tickets. All you have to pay for are your meals!

Can You Make Reservations?

Due to expected crowds, reservations are encouraged during Restaurant Week, though they are not required to attend the event.
