Sunset of the Coronado Bridge Over San Diego Bay
What to See in Coronado
Your visit begins via a quick drive across the iconic Coronado Bridge, a water taxi, or a 15-minute ride on a ferry.
We recommend hopping on the Coronado Ferry from either the Broadway Pier or the port at the San Diego Convention Center in order to take in views of the San Diego skyline and the historic Gaslamp Quarter.
From the ferry landing at Coronado terminal - it’s time to make your way to the following sights.

It’s easy to see why Coronado’s glittering sand and a picturesque seaside make the following beaches some of the country’s best.
Here are a few beaches we think you should take your family.
The beaches and bay area are really gorgeous here, especially for those who prioritize swimming and sunbathing. However, surfing enthusiasts should note that while there are some okay spots to ride the waves, there aren’t many truly excellent surfing beaches in Coronado.

In terms of Coronado Island hotels, the Hotel del Coronado is nothing short of iconic. If, like me, the Del has you thinking of jazz music and Shell Oil, it’s because the comedy classic Some Like it Hot which was filmed at the Hotel del Coronado!
The Victorian-style hotel combines luxury, classic hospitality, vintage style, and of course, plenty of sun and sand to create an unparalleled experience.
