One of the best parts about staying at a San Diego hotel is being able to relax in the pool after a long day of fun. But how does each LEGOLAND hotel pool compare?

The Pool at LEGOLAND California Resort

The pool at the LEGOLAND California Resort is medium sized and filled with soft LEGO bricks. But there were very few attractions at this pool and it’s also right next to the parking lot.

For us, it just wasn’t that impressive overall.

LEGOLAND Castle Hotel Pool

In contrast to the pool and the play area at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, for what LEGOLAND Castle Hotel lacks in its lobby it more than makes up for it in the pool and play area.

Its pool offers chairs and cabanas, and just next to it is a HUGE play area with an outdoor stage and movie screen, with seating for guests and their kids to watch their favorite movies.

Which LEGO Pool Reins Supreme? It’s the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel

LEGOLAND Castle Hotel’s pool area blew us out of the water! With an outdoor stage and movie theater and a large play area for the kids, it absolutely outshines LEGOLAND California Resort’s pool area.

Rooms at the LEGOLAND California Resort are amazing! You can choose between five different themed rooms including: Kingdom, Adventure, Pirate, LEGO Friends, or LEGO NINJAGO.

A team member and his family were recent guests at LEGOLAND California Resort and their room was a medieval times based room.

Both the decorations and the atmosphere in each room make you feel like you’re inside a castle. But one of the greatest features our team member and his family loved was the in-room treasure hunt complete with LEGO surprises inside a hidden treasure chest!

We love the Bricks Family Restaurant at the LEGOLAND California Resort because of the LEGO decorations and the wide variety of food offered.

It’s located right at the hotel and offers a full hot breakfast buffet, with identical offerings to Dragon’s Den Restaurant, and is available for both onsite and offsite guests.

The LEGOLAND Castle Hotel includes breakfast and as mentioned before the HUGE playground really makes this resort stand apart.

Its playground offers many amenities including multiple play zones for kids of all ages, from a DUPLO tot spot to slides to an outdoor stage and cinema.

Honestly, there’s no real comparison here. It’s not hard to see why LEGOLAND Castle Hotel wins for best on-site amenities for guests. When it comes to offering the most fun for the kids, this hotel does NOT disappoint.
