Our first suggestion for where you should take your family for Easter brunch this year is one of our founder Todd’s favorite restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter, The Provisional Kitchen at the Pendry San Diego.
While a bit on the pricey side, our team all agrees that the décor and design is refined and modern, and the food is absolutely delicious!
Their weekly brunch is excellent, so I’m confident in saying that their Easter brunch should be an over the top treat! Set for Easter morning, April 20th from 9:00am – 2:00pm, Chef Brandon Sloan has put together a menu of brunch classics, plus there will be a carving station and seasonal cocktails. For the kids, you can expect a visit from the Easter Bunny as well!
I instantly noticed the Build-Your-Own Parfait and the Chocolate Fountain. For an entrée, the Easter Omelet will be delicious with asparagus, wild mushrooms, goats cheese and roasted tomatoes. That also happens to be a gluten free option.
The chef didn’t forget the kids either as Easter brunch is a family affair. Highlights include the Peep Pancake, Egg-cellent Sausage Muffin Sandwich and the Hoppity French Toast.
At Todd’s request, we added brunch at The Provisional Kitchen at the Pendry San Diego to our Complete Guide to All the Holidays as a featured Easter brunch you won’t want to miss.
Prices are $90 for adults and $34 for kids. Reservations are required.
Stay for Easter Weekend
As I mentioned above, some of the places to stay are very easy, like this one, as the restaurant is in the hotel.
The Pendry San Diego is located in the Gaslamp Quarter just blocks from PETCO Park in Downtown San Diego. As one of only a few 5-star hotels in San Diego, you can expect well-appointed rooms and suites plus a rooftop pool, six bars and of course The Provisional Kitchen restaurant!
