Family Friendly Activities

The rides aren’t the only thing worth screaming about at Knott’s. There’s plenty of live music and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy - no matter the age.

Expect to see family favorites like Boysen Bear, Whittles, Charlie Brown, and the newly added Franklin at the Character Meet & Greets.

Your kids also won’t want to miss the newly added super sweet, super-sized swing, Sally’s Swing Along, wich promises to be the place to snag fun family photos.

You can also take a trip back in time with your visit to the Calico Ghost Town. Keep an eye out for bandits and visit the blacksmith for a peek into our nation’s past.

Thrilling Rides

160 acres is a lot of land to fill with attractions and Knott’s was definitely up to the challenge.

With rides that are perfect for the whole family, coasters with dizzying drops that even the surliest of teens would love, and long-standing traditions, there’s a reason Knott’s has been delighting guests since the 1930s.

Great for Happy Family Moments

Get soaked on Calico River Rapids. Or challenge your family to a friendly game of Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair and squash them all with your impressive jelly blasters skills.

Perfect for Screaming Family Moments

If you like to feel the rush of adrenaline, flip upside down on the Silver Bullet. Or feel like you can see all of California from the top of my personal favorite, the Supreme Scream!

What to See at Knott's Berry Farm in 2024

The best part of Knott’s Seasons of Fun? There’s a rotating schedule of seasonal shows paired with yearly favorites to keep your family entertained and engaged whenever you visit.

Krazy Kirk and The Hillbillies

You can find Krazy Kirk and his band in the Wagon Camp delivering high energy, toe-tappin’ tunes mixed with light-hearted comedy. A Knott’s favorite.

Character Meet & Greets

Meeting characters for a picture or maybe even a signature is a big deal at Knott’s Berry Farm. Here are a few of my personal favorite characters!

Bear-y Tales

The Bear-y family is back after 34 years and they’re waiting to snap a picture at the Charleston Circle Trolley Stop.

Snoopy

Is it really a visit to Knott’s without saying hi to Snoopy? Meet everyone’s favorite beagle at Camp Snoopy. Keep an eye out for the rest of the Peanuts gang!

Whittles

Whittles is back at Knott’s Berry Farm for one very special reason - the 100th Anniversary Celebration!

You can visit him in the Ghost Town, that’s of course if he isn’t panning for gold.

The 4th of July

Knott’s Berry Farm offers one of my favorite fireworks displays in Southern California.

Expect live entertainment from sunup to sundown to celebrate our 248th birthday. The fireworks show begins at 9:30 PM.

Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas

This dreamy show returns to dazzle audiences. Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the gang join world-class ice skaters in Knott’s spectacular ice show, Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas.

Knott’s of Fun for Kids

While the park is family fun for all, below are a few activities that are perfect for younger kids!

Camp Snoopy

Kids and kids at heart rejoice! The reimagined Camp Snoopy opens this Memorial Day weekend!

Calling all Beagle Scouts! Beagle Scout Master Snoopy is here to help create those special first theme park memories with your family.

Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister is the park’s first coaster created exclusively for kids. Expect an updated Beagle Express as well.

A Visit to Sad Eye Joe

This is a fun little one.

Sad Eye Joe has been in Ghost Town Jail since 1941 and visiting hours are open for a quick chat. Stop by the Sheriff’s Office and slide your children’s names across the window as the kids make their way toward Joe.

He may just call them by name!

Knott’s Scary Farm is Can’t Miss

Celebrating 51 years, Knott’s Scary Farm is the largest Halloween event in any theme park!

The incredible experience and ‘nightmare’ is waiting for everyone in your party over the age of 13.

It’s always good to have a couple tips from a local to make sure you have an incredible trip to the park.

Where to Stay

There are several hotels in the area to help you make the most of your theme park visit.

However, Knott’s Hotel is located just steps away.

The recently renovated hotel combines comfort with the charm and warmth that Knott’s Berry Farm and the Cedar Fair Company are known for.

If you want to stay in San Diego and take a trip up to the park, options in Oceanside are a great option. I would recommend The Fin Boutique Hotel, a fantastic beach hotel perfect for couples, or The Seabird Resort, a family-friendly choice with ocean views.

Best Time to Visit

With so many events, attractions, and things to do during the year - it’s hard to pick the best time to go!

Whether you’re looking to try the new boysenberry dishes or love the nightly Christmas tree lighting during Knott’s Merry Farm, there’s no wrong time to visit the Farm.

San Diego’s weather will likely be good no matter what time of year you visit so it comes down to which seasonal event you and your family would prefer to attend.

Admission Hours

Park hours are Monday - Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM.

However, the hours change during special events like Knott’s Boysenberry Festival or Knott’s Scary Farm.

Be sure to check the hours before you go to avoid any disappointments.
