The US Grant Hotel San Diego has an on-site 24-hour fitness center and a spa suite to keep you feeling your best.
When you are ready to hit the town, you can plan to enjoy one of the many activities and attractions around the area or sign up for the hotel tour to learn more about the history and art.
Pamper Yourself at the Hotel
You don’t have to leave the grounds of the US Grant to see what makes it so special. Here are a few of my favorite amenities and on-site activities.

Book Experiences Through the Hotel
The US Grant offers multiple exclusive guest experiences that can be added to your reservation. These include the Global Explorer Backpack with curated suggestions of San Diego landmarks to visit, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Grant Grill, and a seasonal beer tasting from Resident Brewing Co.

Visit the Fitness Center or Spa
After your excursion, visit the hotel’s fitness center any time to work up a sweat, then cool down with a treatment at the spa suite, a unique twist on the typical hotel spa.

Immerse Yourself in History
The US Grant opened back in 1910 and has stood the test of time, still serving guests over 100 years later. Even though much of the hotel has been renovated to better serve guests and maintain the property, just walking around the hotel feels like stepping back into a piece of history.
The hotel also houses the Celebration Fine Art Collection, worth over $6.5 million.
Nearby Things to Do
Hop on the FRED Shuttle or hit the street on foot to experience all the best things to do around the Gaslamp Quarter and the rest of Downtown San Diego.

See the Sights
Make your way to Balboa Park to see the many themed gardens and the world-renown San Diego Zoo. We even off a discount to the San Diego Zoo if you purchase a Go City San Diego pass.
This pass will get you into the San Diego Zoo as well as over 55 other attractions for one discounted price. If you use the code GVSD5OFF you can save even more!
Other big attractions near the hotel include Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, Heritage Park, and the Spanish Village.
Having a Drink on the Brothels Bites and Booze Tour
Eat and Drink
With the many restaurants and bars in the Gaslamp Quarter, you won’t have to go far, but you also have Little Italy and the marina area for wining and dining.
If you want to try something really unique to San Diego, go on, one of our favorite tours is the Gaslamp Brothels, Bites & Booze Tour where you can find great food and drinks all while learning about the spotty past of the Gaslamp Quarter.

Hit the Beach
Swimming, kayaking, surfing and boating are popular pastimes at Coronado Central Beach, Mission Beach, and Pacific Beach.
You may also appreciate exploring the coves of La Jolla or whale watching, especially in wintertime. The Guided La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour is a great tour I’d recommend to see the amazing sea caves of La Jolla.

Hike and Golf
Sunny San Diego is ideal for golfing, and you have both Riverwalk Golf Club and Coronado Municipal Course just a short drive away.
Torrey Pines State Park is a must for hikers who want the reward of that gorgeous Pacific Ocean view, but you can also take in the landscape along the Mission Trails Regional Park or one of the canyon parks nearby.
