With the bay on one side and the cityscape on the other, the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel will offer you stunning views of the Embarcadero, a prime location and a uniquely San Diego experience! Not far from the San Diego International Airport (SAN), Balboa Park or even Old Town San Diego, the hotel lies on prime San Diego real estate!

True to the Hilton name, San Diego Hilton Bayfront is an upscale AA Four-Diamond hotel that offers guests luxury accommodations and lavish amenities. Every room boasts a view of either the Embarcadero San Diego skyline or the bay and the Coronado Bridge.

Guests have access to common areas including the outdoor heated saltwater bayside pool, world-class fitness center and the Eforea spa.

Let’s Eat

Hilton San Diego Bay Front houses five eateries that range in style from casual to fine dining.

Starbucks and Sweet Things Frozen Yogurt are perfect for on-the-go individuals who need a quick boost or snack. Odysea perches bayside and serves up distinctive flights of unique drinks, barrel-aged cocktails, delectable hors d'oeuvre and local-inspired main dishes.

There’s also Hudson & Nash, which replaced the hotel’s previous signature restaurant, Vela. It’s a relaxed restaurant and bar right on the waterfront. I know every meal I ate at the hotel was delicious, but the atmosphere was the true highlight of the experience!

Bring Your Pet

It’s worth noting that the Hilton San Diego Bayfront is a pet friendly hotel and it is even featured in our Best Pet Friendly Hotels in San Diego!

I’m a local so for me it’s a ‘staycation’ and it’s just nice to know if I take the family for a weekend, my dog is welcome as well.

We Love This Swimming Pool at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront
We Love This Swimming Pool at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront

It Boasts One of the Best Pools in San Diego!

While there are plenty of excellent hotel pools in San Diego, for me, none come close to the Hilton San Diego bayfront. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say it’s my favorite pool and pool bar area in all of San Diego, hands-down.

What I love about the pool is what while you are swimming it feels and looks like it flows directly into San Diego Bay. It is simple and a gorgeous pool experience.

The Pool Club is the go-to lounge for sports enthusiasts and guests who desire a laid-back atmosphere in which to socialize, soak in the view and indulge in local wines and microbrews. It has a truly gorgeous pool deck with amazing ambiance, and the drinks and coastal Californian cuisine served up at the bar are second to none.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend having a drink or two there!

It’s in the Middle of the Action

The hotel’s great location is just one of many things I love about it. As the “bayfront” in its name implies, it’s right along the San Diego Bay, and I had an amazing view of the water from my room.

This 30-story waterfront hotel features newly renovated guest rooms, a convenient location adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center and a prime position right across from the Padres’ PETCO Park. Just take the walking bridge right from the hotel to the stadium, where you can catch a ball game or watch a concert - or take a walk around East Village.

The Hilton is also right down the street from San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, which boasts a diverse collection of boutiques, eateries and lounges.
