The Coronado Beach Resort is truly the island’s “hidden gem.” The boutique hotel on the southern side of the island is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the beautiful beaches and wonderful weather of this paradise in the San Diego Bay.

Although Coronado Island is a destination for relaxing and unwinding, this hotel has the convenient benefit of being located close to the tombolo that connects the island to the mainland. It is also not far from the main bridge to the city. That makes it easy to enjoy a day trip out to Downtown San Diego before returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Local Tips

The rooms and common areas feature a relaxed, beach-themed style with a little bit of old-world charm. It is an oasis, almost completely removed from the fast-paced life of San Diego.

There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the property. Guests can take advantage of the business center and self-serve laundry.

The hotel offers equipment rentals for enjoying the island and bay. There are also regular activities for guests to participate in such as get-togethers with drinks, an essential oil class, a walking tour and a sunset sail.

There are also plenty of island activities to participate in such as yacht charters, SEAL tours of the bay, gondola rides and more.
