Beautiful Rock Formations at Osprey Point in Sunset CliffsLooking into the Ocean at Osprey Point in Sunset Cliffs

Since its opening in 1983, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park has brought wonder and unique geological features to San Diego residents and visitors. This park that sits above the Pacific Ocean has a variety of gorgeous backdrops, such as dramatic cliffs, sea caves, panoramic views, rocky arches and coastal bluffs.

Sunset Cliffs is also home to several different popular spots for small, intimate outdoor weddings. Luscombs Point and Osprey Point offer small wedding parties a stunning background for an unforgettable ceremony. At the northern end of the park is a hidden cove called No Surf Beach that during low tide, reveals a treasure trove of fascinating aquatic tide pools.

All three of these attractions are located in Sunset Cliffs Natural Park. It's possible to explore the entire park in a few hours and check out both points and the beach below the cliffs.

The park is situated on the Point Loma peninsula of San Diego. The shoreline rises above the ocean for about 300 feet, giving the park its iconic cliffside views. The park follows the coastline for one and a half miles and contains 68 acres of land.

The most popular activity in Sunset Cliffs Park is watching a sunset. Many visitors come here right before dusk to witness the wonder of the sun setting along the Pacific Ocean's blue horizon. Additionally, this area brings in hikers, surfers, birdwatchers, photographers and fishermen
