About Go Visit San Diego & How the Site Came to Be

At Go Visit San Diego, you get local insider information you won’t see anywhere else because our team is made up of real San Diego residents who have a deep knowledge, love and understanding of what makes San Diego one of the top travel destinations in the entire country.

Father & Son Enjoying a Padres Baseball Game at Petco Park

The site was launched by Todd Sarouhan, who has lived in San Diego for the last 29 years. He has a deep passion for the area and everything it has to offer locals and tourists alike. This drove him to create the site as a resource for others looking to explore the city he calls home and check out its many attractions.

Go Visit San Diego was born from a love of travel, which also previously inspired the creation of Go Visit San Diego’s sister site, Go Visit Costa Rica. Alongside the Go Visit Costa Rica team, Todd created a long-standing travel site, which sparked interest for creating a similar site all about his current home of San Diego, California.

The Costa Rican team comes to San Diego frequently, and they share Todd’s enthusiasm for travel and exploration. Together, they’ve compiled information showcasing the best attractions, hotels, and especially beaches, which are covered extensively thanks to the team’s love for the world-class beach and surfing scene found throughout San Diego.
